Reuben Chong

Ruben Chong is a EHS Senior Specialist for the Cargill AG & Trading US Grain business supporting Area 3 and 7, both areas located in the states of Minnesota, South Dakota, Illinois and Iowa. Ruben has spent more than 28 years at Cargill and has successfully led different roles within Grain locations in Mexico, US and Canada.

Born and raced in Mexico, Ruben first joined the company in 1997 as a Project Engineer, helping Cargill de Mexico to build their first Cargill own and operated by Cargill in Mexico. He spent 10 years there and in 2009 he came to the US to work as Operations lead at Cargill AgHorizons overseeing US West Operations. In 2011, he was assigned to work with AgHorizons in Canada and was responsible to oversee Country Operations until 2016 when he and family moved back to US. Ruben has been a EHS Senior Specialist since 2020 supporting River Grain locations for Illinois. With the 2030 Reorganization, in addition to Illinois, he also supports locations in Minnesota, South Dakota and Iowa

Ruben graduated from the Universidad Autonoma de Mexico with Major in Mechanical Engineering.
