John Lee
John Lee serves as the Director of the Safety-Health-Environmental services program for the Grain and Feed Association of Illinois. He has served in this capacity since 1997. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety from Illinois State University in 1989.
The Grain and Feed Association of Illinois is a statewide trade association for the grain and feed industry. The association is made up of nearly 155 companies representing over 900 facilities.
The Safety-Health-Environmental services program serves 115 grain companies in Illinois. These companies include small private grain elevators, cooperative elevators, as well as large global grain companies. The Safety-Health-Environmental services program is a consulting and educational program. John works with State and Federal OSHA and EPA Offices for the benefit of the grain and feed industry in Illinois. In addition, he conducts employee safety training, assists members in maintaining safety programs, and conducts safety audits and visible emissions tests. The Grain and Feed Association of Illinois through John has worked with OSHA in their Partnership/Alliance program over the past twenty-three years. John has also written and directed four safety videos.
John served on the National Grain and Feed Association Safety and Environmental Committee.
John lives in Chatham, IL with his wife.
