Kevin Watts is the Manager of Safety Operations at Union Pacific Railroad and a veteran safety professional with more than 25 years of experience in the field—15 of those dedicated to railroad safety. Based at Union Pacific headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska, Kevin is responsible for overseeing personal injury and derailment prevention efforts across the company’s vast rail network. He collaborates closely with service unit managers to identify root causes of incidents, coach field teams, and lead strategic efforts that reduce risk and promote a strong safety culture. Kevin’s leadership is instrumental in driving Union Pacific’s mission to deliver safe, reliable, and efficient rail service. His passion for safety stems from a lifelong commitment to protecting people and empowering others to lead by example.
